Welcome! We wanted to introduce the faces behind Your Landlord Resource. Meet Stacie Casella & Kevin Kilroy who are parents, property managers (for others), rental property owners, and DIY landlords. Stacie is a Realtor and Kevin holds his real estate salesperson license, both in California.
We currently own 11 doors and are always looking to scale and add more! Our properties are located in California and Idaho.
With our combined landlord experience of 25 years, we seemed to come across a fair amount of first time real estate investors who are weary of being a landlord. They would ask a lot of questions but there’s only so much time we have to show them the ropes. As it was, there were a lot of repetitive questions about finding a good tenant. So we decided it was a good idea to create a place where we can post blogs explaining how to do what we do.
People seemed to enjoy the blogs so much, we decided to start our own podcast! This is where we take a deep dive into the many subjects we have covered in our blogs and so much more!
We were both born and raised living on the Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area and still reside there today. We have been married for 7 years, but have been friends for what seems to be a lifetime. Our family consists of Stacie’s three grown boys and a yellow lab named Gracie.
We love to travel and have visited many locations in Europe. Our last trip was to France where we visited Dijon, Lourdes, and Paris. Each year we are lucky enough to take a family vacation to Hawaii and relax and enjoy time with the boys and Stacie’s parents. Who knows where (or when) we will travel to next.
Stacie enjoys cooking and is happiest creating healthy and fun meals for her family to enjoy. Kevin is an excellent photographer with beautiful photos from all around the US and Europe. His skills have helped immensely when we have to list our units. We both love our SF Giants baseball and root on our Forty Niners as well.
As for this little pivot in our lives, we are in the process of building an online course for landlords called: From Marketing to Move In, The Residential Landlords Comprehensive Guide to Placing Their Ideal Tenant. Sneak Peek: Kevin will have a section where he shows you how to photograph a room properly so your ads will stand out among all others!
